The Bard Industries Family has been working in the steel business since 1919, starting off as a blacksmith shop in Cornwall, Ontario. After working as a machinist and welder for an aircraft company during the war, the second generation joined the operation in 1944. The company now headed towards repairs and custom fabrication. In 1962 the business was involved in the industrial section doing plant maintenance and working for the oil industry. By 1971 the third generation had taken over doing high pressure piping, fabricating loading docks for fuel trucks, constructing all the necessary piping to unload fuel tankers, and also building and repairing large fuel storage tanks. The fourth generation joined the family business in 2004. By 2007 B.I.L. started building above ground tanks for flammable liquids. We now build a variety of tanks to suit the fuel industry with quality in mind. Our fabrication heritage dating back to 1919 ensures our customers are getting the best product possible.

Cornwall Community Hospital and has been a member of the Trillium Gift of Life Network (TGLN) since June of 2013 and participates in Ontario’s Routine Notification Program. Cornwall Community Hospital staff report impending patient deaths so that TGLN staff can identify potential donors and approach families to re-affirm consent. In the last 3 years there have been 30 organ and tissue donors from Cornwall Hospital. McLeod Hockey Skill Development Camp is Cornwall’s longest running and leading skills camp.  The camp focuses on technical skills and individual tactics. This is done by providing 1hr of power skating, 1hr of stickhandling and 1 hr. of game situations/shooting each day. Many camps in the area hire elite hockey players to help bolster their numbers. They hope that the hype of the “elite” hockey player will bring players to their camp. McLeod Hockey Skills development believes that instruction should come first. Our 3 mains coaches are all teachers by trade. They establish a progressive curriculum which ensures each player will increase their skills by the week’s end. Please take a moment to read up on our coaching staff.  Not only are they teacher by trade, all our head instructors have played at least at the Jr. Level.
